Before my car also caused it to be to my garage, we knew i desired to know the Supercharger do its thing. Seeing the videos on Youtube made me are interested more, so obviously one of many things that are first wanted to do was focus on the consumption.
Upon further research we identified....there are no intakes for 2009 A6s, not anymore at the least. So I began considering steps to make personal. I have the ongoing service manual for the 3.0T engine on my desktop and it's also acutely useful.
Now on web page 34 there is a figure and paragraph that is small intake sound proofing.
There was the foam within the intake package, the pipeline has baffles and a resonator on it which also works as sound proofing.
And so I eliminated my foam and fabricated my pipe that is own from airbox to the engine out of pvc. (slightly crude nonetheless it works).

And so I've often stated on right here that the noises a motor car makes are right up there into the variety of things I start thinking about whenever considering a vehicle - engine, exhaust, induction, turbo spool.

I've constantly wondered about superchargers, just the character of this high pitched whine, I couldn't help thinking it must get old before long.

I love the thought of exactly what it does, the entire lack of turbo lag and lovely even energy musical organization but having paid attention to different cars on here, granted mostly track focused devices hooning around Mondello, it simply does nothing for me personally and if any such thing i believe it could grate .

Am I the only one?

ive not held it's place in some of these automobiles, the only real supercharged vehicle I've driven had been an xkr, that has been an alternate matter entirely, could hardly hear the engine or charger despite having the roof down.
